Nothing but ingenuity

I have just finished one of those three day intensive seminars for a private client in Denver. These seminars are always an inspriation for me. These are skill building seminars presented in the framework of the Wish-Want-Walk Method. As an excercise, we broke them into teams on the second night and sent them to dinner with the mission of making a bargain for something that was of benefit to them.

One team was able to bring a real live Hawaiin singer to the class the next morning to sing the Hawaiian Love Song to one of the facilitators. They did it by doing the hula in the lobby of the hotel the night before and turning over all the tips to the singer. The class also chipped in. it was quite a sight.

And they did it using the Wish-Want-Walk Method. Their Walk was that if the first singer would not go along with the joke, they would keep going to the next musician and the next musician until they found someone who would join them. They got their Wish on the first try. It was a real win-win!
